MOT Testing
All vehicles over 3 years old require an annual MOT test. This test ensures that your vehicle meets legal safety and emissions standards. The test involves many small tests, from seat belts to window wipers. Contrary to common belief, the MOT test does not give an accurate representation of the overall condition of the car, we recommend regular servicing for that purpose.
MOTs are carried out by appointment only. If you wish to wait while we MOT your car you will need to call us to arrange a time ‘slot’. Please allow an hour for the test to be completed.
We can MOT Class 4 vehicles which covers cars and goods vehicles not exceeding 3,000 kg design gross weight , motor caravans and dual purpose vehicles.

The MOT test is designed to make sure that your vehicle meets standards that are set in place for vehicle safety and the environment. Included are tests to your lights and electrical equipment, your steering and suspension, your brakes, your tyres and wheels, seat belts or other restraint items, your exhaust and fuel system and of course general body and structure tests as well.
If this is your car’s first MOT or if your car has had a registration plate change since it’s last MOT then you will need to bring in your V5C vehicle registration certificate. Otherwise you do not need to bring in any documentation.
If your vehicle happens to fail it is a legal requirement that the vehicle is repaired and then retested. It is illegal to drive a car on the road until repairs are completed and a retest has been passed. We can carry out almost all repairs in house.
